CFP THE AGATHEOS PRIZE

We are pleased to announce the Agatheos Prize, generously sponsored by the University of Gävle and the Olaus Petri Foundation through Uppsala University, Sweden. The Agatheos Prize recognises and promotes outstanding contributions to the field of Philosophy of Religion (broadly construed) and is eligible for PhD students and scholars who have obtained their PhD within the last 7 years. We particularly encourage people from underrepresented groups in Philosophy of Religion to submit a contribution.

Prize: A constellation consisting of members from the journal’s regional editors and editorial committee will nominate the winning paper of the Agatheos Prize. The winner will receive a monetary award of 1000 euros (might be subject to taxes) and be published in Agatheos. Co-authorship is welcome, and if co-authors win the prize, the monetary award will be split among them equally.

Additionally, all submitted papers will be evaluated for publication in the journal, regardless of whether they win the prize.

For submission instructions and further information, please visit our website at www.agatheos.net. However, be sure to mark the title page of your submitted article with “the Agatheos prize”.

We encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to contribute to the development of Philosophy of Religion.

Deadline: 1st December 2026
