All articles in NordSTEP will be made permanently and freely available online immediately after acceptance. Readers do not need to pay or register to access the content, and publication is free of charge for authors and their institutions. 

Authors are encouraged to deposit the final published version of their article for self-archiving (on their personal website) and/or archiving in an institutional repository immediately after publication.

Authors of content published in NordSTEP retain copyright to their works.

Content in Volume 12, no. 2 and later volumes is published under the terms of the Creative Commons license CC BY 4.0. This license allows the material to be freely shared — copied and redistributed in any medium or format and for any purpose, including commercial purposes. The material may also be adapted — for example, translated or built upon — for any purpose, including commercial use.

Proper credit must be given, a link to the license provided (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by /4.0/deed.en), any changes clearly indicated.
