Julie M. Davis Adjunct Professor at Queensland University of Technology, has a teaching diploma, a bachelor of environmental studies, a master of environmental education and a PhD in curriculum change. As an early childhood teacher educator, she taught and researched at the Queensland University of Technology, Australia for over 30 years focusing on embedding environmental and sustainability education into science, social studies and health education subjects. She co-founded what is the now-Queensland Early Childhood Sustainability Network in 1996. She has edited international textbooks for early childhood preservice teachers in ECEfS and published multiple research and professional publications and reports. She initiated the international Transnational Dialogues on Research in ECEfS and continues to write and research in ECEfS in her retirement.

About the journal
Childhood in the Anthropocene (CiA) publishes ongoing research in the field of educational sciences, with a special focus on childhood and sustainability, including education and learning for sustainability in the preschool and early school years. The journal publishes 1–2 issues per year and contains articles in the Nordic languages ― Swedish, Norwegian and Danish ― plus English. The journal welcomes high quality manuscripts that fit within the journal's fields of childhood and sustainability, including education and learning for sustainability in the preschool and early school years.
