Artificial Intelligence continues to transform our interaction with information, as individuals and organisations increasingly adopt this new and quickly evolving technology. The technology promises to have an impact on multiple aspects of our daily and work lives, although there are also ethical and resource implications surrounding AI. We have only begun to realise the impact of AI on Information Science.
A Special Issue on the topic of AI in Information Science will be published in Spring 2026. We welcome original research that addresses theoretical, methodological, practical, and ethical aspects of AI in the context of Information Science. Authors should clearly articulate the relevance of their work to both AI and the field of Information Science.
