Abstract

The need for existential conversations among residents at SÄBO (especially housing for the elderly) in Nässjö municipality has been noticed. Conversation leaders have been trained in the methodology around the eight existential themes that WHO has listed.

Conversations at individual and group level have been carried out, reflections of this are that the original method must be adjusted. New angles have been found to stimulate the existential conversations. The developed simplified conversation support has proceeded from theory to practical application.

During the course of the talks, individual adaptation has been made. The experience of conducted conversation groups highlights the need for more continuity of existential conversations in everyday life so that the residents can express their existential questions and needs - existential everyday conversations. The method has not been fully processed and is in need of scientific evaluation at a later stage.
