Kunskapslabbet – ett forum för förtrogenhetskunskap

Abstract

Denna artikel handlar om överföring av förtrogenhetskunskap mellan yrkesgrupper. Läkare, sjuksköterskor och undersköterskor arbetar dagligen sida vid sida. Trots det ges få tillfällen att reflektera tillsammans över patientmöten och lära av varandra. Kunskapslabbet är ett försök att ta vara på och sprida förtrogenhetskunskap från vårdens vardag. I artikeln redovisas en extern utvärdering som visar positiva effekter för deltagande individer.
This paper deals with the problem of identifying and spread of tacit knowledge in inpatient care. The setting is a small Swedish hospital. Much tacit knowledge is developed in different patient encounters. But there is little time to sit down and reflect together between doctors, nurses and assistant nurses in spite of working together daily. The Knowledge lab has been created to allow these professions to learn from each other by the help of a strict method – case methodology. The results from an external evaluation of the trial are promising when it comes to individual and group learning. The participants particularly develop their narrative ability and their capacity to reflect together from different patient encounters. The Knowledge lab has been followed by three more labs in the hospital setting and a lab between another small sized hospital and municipality care working together in palliative care.
