Betydelse av musik vid autism – Forskning på vuxna på frammarsch

Abstract

Research focusing on adults diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder is unfortunately scarce. It is therefore difficult to know how music is being used, what its effects are as well as its meaning for the autistic population. In an ongoing doctoral project we are trying to better understand the value and meanings of music and to develop music activities together with autistic people. We discuss the importance of including needs and wishes of persons with autism in future autism research. In the article below, we share a large number of references from our ongoing research.
