Articles are published under the terms of a Creative Commons CC BY license which permits use, downloading, distribution, linking to, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited.
Content in Volumes 1 – 79 was published without a Creative Commons license, and the copyright for this content is held by Kgl. Gustav Adolfs Akademien. License and copyright information is provided on each article’s webpage.
ARV. Nordic Yearbook of Folklore does not charge author or publication fees.

About the Journal
ARV means heritage. ARV. Nordic Yearbook of Folklore presents our mental heritage, folklore, as the foundation of our culture, our patterns of interaction and our world view. Folklore, i.e. popular poetry, belief and custom, is an important identity factor for every nation in historical as well as recent times. The journal’s target readership is academics, teachers and local historians.
