Abstract

This Special Issue of the Nordic Journal of English Studies is devoted to historical linguistics, and focuses on ‘speech’ from past periods. As the title suggests, we are interested in not only the language of speech-based or, in a wider sense, speech-related texts but also the (re)presentation of speech in other types of historical texts.
