From a health perspective, people with functional variation are a vulnerable group in society. New innovative daily activities are thus needed to create meaningful employment, personal development, and health. The article therefore presents results from a year's qualitative follow-up research of the idea-driven daily activity Grow with horsepower, with a focus on organization and experience based on employee and participant descriptions. A thematic analysis resulted in three themes: 1) Positive health development; 2) Personal development and learning; and 3) Development through peer-learning. The result shows that people grow, flourish, and become prepared for both life and work through peer learning and a person-centered approach. Daily activity thus fulfills an important function as an idea-driven actor in the welfare system and contribute to sustainability, at the individual, group and societal level.
