Current Swedish Archaeology are now actively inviting proposals for Theme articles, that address current topics in our field. Researchers and scholars are encouraged to submit a concise proposal to us, the editors, which should include a brief overview of the theme, alongside a list of contributors and tentative article titles, in total max one page.

Once a proposal is accepted, the introductory overview and individual contributions, typically around 5,000 words each, must be submitted through our online platform within the agreed timeframe. All submissions undergo a rigorous evaluation process starting with an initial editorial screening, followed by assessment from an editorial board member, and culminating in double-blind peer review by at least two external experts.

Accepted work benefits from immediate online publication as soon as it is finalized, followed by our comprehensive print edition published every December. As an Open Access journal, CSA publishes all content under the Creative Commons 4.0 International licence (CC BY 4.0), ensuring global visibility, unrestricted distribution, and proper attribution for your research.
