Introduction. Teaching innovation projects based on service-learning (SL) have proven to be beneficial in the creation of alliances between organisations committed to pooling their efforts and resources to have a positive impact on their environment.
Implementation proposal. In the framework of a previous project, this article presents a service-learning (SL) project developed between library and information science students and libraries with the aim of adapting materials to Easy to Read in order to improve accessibility for people with hearing disabilities. The project is aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and aims to raise awareness of the importance of accessibility in library services. Through collaboration, students gain key skills in creating accessible content, while libraries strengthen their inclusive role by providing resources that facilitate equitable access to information.
Conclusions. A sustainable implementation model is proposed that can be replicated by other universities and libraries interested in promoting inclusion and equal opportunities in access to culture and knowledge.
