Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

• I, the submitting author, warrant that I'm authorized by all co-authors, if any, to submit this version of the manuscript, in accordance with the journal's author guidelines, including distribution under a CC license, and to be their representative during the review process and afterwards.
• All authors are eligible to be considered as such, in accordance with the guidelines set out in the authorship criteria and have given their permission to be present in the submitted manuscript.
• The manuscript has not previously been published in the current version, nor is it under consideration by another journal. If the manuscript has been published in an earlier version, this must be clearly stated, see the journal's preprint policy. (Feel free to insert a comment in the box "Comments to the Editor" if relevant.)
• The submitting author has entered his ORCiD identification number in his author data. Any co-authors have been advised to also provide an ORCID iD in accordance with the journal's policy.
• All material presented in the manuscript where the copyright is held by a third party has been produced in a correct manner and the necessary permissions have been obtained from the author.
• The text follows the stylistic and bibliographic requirements stated in the author instructions.
• The manuscript files that are uploaded for review are anonymized according to the journal's double blind peer review policy.

• All individuals or groups of individuals who can be identified in a study, or the subjects’ legally authorized representatives, have signed an informed consent form and thereby given their consent to the submitted content being published under a CC license.
