Abstract

In the late neolitic (2300-1700 BC) there are several signs of drastic change compared to earlier parts of the neolitic. Now DNA and strontium analysis from parts of southern Sweden strongly suggests high mobility, not just from individuals, but for whole family groups. A recent excavation on the island of Lurö in lake Vänern contained the cremated bones from a human buried in the later part of the late neolitic. The bones from this person was put in a urn in the outskirts of  the livingsite from the same period
