Information For Readers

All content in In Situ Archaeologica is published with immediate open access, which means that users do not need to pay or register to read the material.

Articles in In Situ Archaeologica are published under a Creative Commons license (CC BY-NC 4.0), which allows use, downloading, distribution, linking to, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited.  The material may not be used for commercial purposes.

Content in volumes 1 – 15 was published without a Creative Commons license. Gothenburg University permits material in volumes 1 – 15 to be used in accordance with a CC BY-NC 4.0 license, and no prior approval is required.

For those interested, there is an option to register to receive notifications from the journal. Use the Register link at the top of the journal's home page. Upon registration, readers will receive an email with the Table of Contents for each new issue of the journal. This list also allows the journal to claim a certain level of support or readership. See the journal's Privacy Statement, which assures readers that their name and email address will not be used for other purposes.
