This article aims to revisit the poetic work of 20th century Portuguese writer Florbela Espanca (1894-1930) through some critical studies that have observed the correlation between the body and the corpus in which the author's organic body is inscribed. Thus, based on some essays on corporality (Collot, 2008; Fintz, 2000; Reichler, 1983), our aim here is to analyze the images of the female body, following the poet's literary gesture, which is expressed in a framework of images and symbols.
