The aim is to reflect on the dramaturgical writing of Agustina Bessa-Luís, with particular emphasis on Estados Eróticos Imediatos de Søren Kierkegaard (1992), O Tempo de Ceide (1994) and Garrett, o Eremita do Chiado (1998). This is a cohesive triad that brings together important figures from the literary and cultural scene of the 19th century, such as the Danish philosopher Søren Kierkegaard (1813-1855) and the Portuguese writers Camilo Castelo Branco (1825-1890) and Almeida Garrett (1799-1854). As a general rule, these are voices characterised either by paratheatricality and excess, or by dysphoria and meandering. In these dramatic proposals, it is interesting to highlight the way in which the author combines the intertext of life and the intertext of fiction, observes existential paths, reconfigures identities, proposing a renewed look at the figures who occupy the centre of her theatrical production.
