Anckarström's Dance Book and Johan Jacob Laun
The manuscript known as Anckarström's Dance Book contains fifteen contradances and thirteen minuets. It bears the inscription, "Tourer Afv De Contre Dancer som 1760 om wintren på Stadshuset Brukades", (Figures of the Contradances which were used in Winter 1760 at the Town Hail), and contains music written by Johan Jacob Laun (1731-1774). It is shown that although the text is in Anckarström's own handwriting, the music notation is from the hand of Laun.
