This article deals with a site and its significance in a landscape during the late Bronze Age and early Iron Age. The discussion is based on an archaeological excavation of a stone setting and a ritual house on the Berg farm in Värmlandsnäs, Sweden. The interpretation of this site and its meaning is derived from the results of the excavation. The site must also be understood from its location in the landscape and its geographical relation to other ancient monuments.
