Kulturhistoriska museets pianosamling
Abstract
The main part of this article is an inventory of the 27 piano instruments in the collection of the Kulturhistoriska Museet (the museum of cultural history) in Lund. Kulturhistoriska Museet is one of Sweden’s largest museums of its kind with a collection of about 80 000 artefacts. In the collection there are about 200 musical instruments, most of which are from the 18th century to early 20th century. No comprehensive, scholarly catalogue of all the musical instruments in the collection exists today. The description of the piano instruments in this article is a first step towards a catalogue of all the musical instruments in the collection.
