Kontextualisering och Bibelns auktoritet
En diskussion med fokus på svenska perspektiv på samkönade relationer

Artikeln undersöker spänningen mellan kontextualisering och bibeltrohet i ljuset av den evangelikala teologins höga syn på Skriftens auktoritet. Med utgångspunkt i Lausannedeklarationen och dess betoning på både Bibelns normativa kraft och kulturell lyhördhet, analyseras två aktuella svenska exempel på kontextualisering av bibliska texter rörande samkönade relationer: Joel Halldorfs kapitel i boken En enda kropp samt Evangeliska frikyrkans (EFK) rapport Helighet och barmhärtighet. Studien visar att båda fallen riskerar att försvaga Skriftens auktoritet genom att överanpassa det bibliska budskapet till samtida kulturella och ideologiska preferenser. Artikeln argumenterar för behovet av en kontextualisering som är både kritisk och teologiskt förankrad, där Skriftens syfte och textens koherens står i centrum. Artikeln föreslår med hjälp av Jeannine K. Brown principer för en evangelikal kontextualisering som undviker synkretism, bevarar Skriftens normativa roll och möjliggör en trogen och relevant tillämpning av evangeliet i dagens kultur.
