HYBRID accepts manuscripts written exclusively in Swedish.
Submitted manuscripts must address research questions directly related to the announced theme for the specific issue and demonstrate clear relevance to the Swedish free church context. Gender-neutral language should be employed where feasible. Beyond standard proofreading, HYBRID does not provide language editing. Authors must hold full copyright to their submitted manuscripts.
Use a standard font (e.g., Times New Roman), set to 12 pt size with single line spacing. No additional document formatting or styling should be applied. Section headings must be numbered sequentially following the decimal format (e.g., 1, 1.1, 1.1.1). Ancient languages must be transliterated and translated into Swedish. Citations, references, and overall text formatting must adhere strictly to the SBL Handbook of Style. The maximum length is 10,000 words for articles and 1,500 words for book reviews. Books intended for review must receive prior approval from the journal's book review editor.
The submission deadline for articles is June 30 each year, and for book reviews, September 30 each year, for publication in the beginning of the following year. Article authors commit to participating in the quality assessment of at least one other article in the same issue according to provided instructions, as well as revising their text in dialogue with at least one of the other articles featured in the issue.
Queries regarding manuscripts should be directed to HYBRID's managing editor, Matthew Nowachek (hybrid@altutbildning.se). Inquiries concerning book reviews should be sent to the book review editor, Mikael Hallenius (mikael.hallenius@altutbildning.se).
