Open Access Policy

All content published in HYBRID is made available with immediate open access, meaning users are not required to pay or register to read the content. Printed copies of the journal can be ordered via print-on-demand.

Authors of content published in HYBRID retain the copyright to their work. Articles in HYBRID are published under the terms of a Creative Commons License (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0), which permits use, downloading, distribution, linking to, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited. The material may not be used for commercial purposes, and if you remix, transform, or build upon the material, you must distribute your contributions under the same license as the original. Licensing and copyright information is specified on the webpage for each article.

HYBRID charges no author or publication fees.

Self-Archiving Policy
Article authors retain the right to self-archive the submitted ("preprint") version of the manuscript, the author's accepted manuscript, and the published version ("version of record") without any embargo period. Submitted manuscripts and published versions of articles may, for example, be archived on:

  • The author's personal website

  • The author's institutional website and/or institutional repositories or archives

  • Non-profit preprint servers or subject-based repositories
