Development of a Swedish classroom screening tool for grammatical comprehension (LegiLexi GRA) in young school-age children

Abstract

Denna studie presenterar utvecklingen och den psykometriska utvärderingen av LegiLexi GRA-10, ett svenskt klassrumsverktyg för screening av grundläggande grammatisk förståelse under det första året i svensk grundskola. Genom att använda Item Response Theory (IRT) reducerades det ursprungliga 16-items-testet till en 10-items-version, optimerad för att identifiera elever med utmaningarmed grammatisk förståelse. Resultaten visar att GRA-10 har en bra förmåga att identifiera elever med svårigheter i grundläggande grammatisk språkförståelse där resultat på åtta poäng eller mindre signalerar utmaningar, både hos elever som följer kursplan svenska som förstaspråk (L1) och elever som följer kursplan svenska som andraspråk (L2). Dessa fynd bekräftar att GRA-10 är ett effektivt screeningverktyg för att tidigt kunna identifiera elever med utmaningar i grammatisk språkförståelse, med hög reliabilitet, vilket möjliggör riktade pedagogiska insatser.
