The article explores interreligious practice in Örebro with a particular focus on young people, migration and diversity. Drawing on three local initiatives—school visits, peace walks and public peace prayers—the article analyzes how cross-boundary encounters contribute to social sustainability and democracy. The article combines practical examples with theological, pedagogical and ethical reflections, and employs the concept of boundary leadership to illuminate how listening functions as an ethical stance. Through dialogue and collaboration, young people with migration backgrounds can be given a strengthened place in society. In times of increasing racism and Islamophobia, the article argues that church actors bear a particular responsibility to promote peace, understanding and inclusive cooperation.
