Mannen är norm i EU

Abstract

Women are cleviant and different, and should be persuaded to fullil their social duties, however much they vary with time, country, population structure and political situation. Men constitute the invisible, invariable and gender independent norm, the indisputable basis for economic, social, and political analyses. Utilizing examples from Swedish official reports and publications issued by the EU and the OECD, the author is primarily dealing wilh caring and welfare work and how such work has been regarded and analysed. The conclusion is that the descriptions of men as well as women in these reports are not only depressing but also unrealistic.
