Through counting the parked and misparked bicycles in a big cycle stand a hypothesis that women should be more inclined to park selfish, taking up more space, is tested. The result shows that the researcher is wrong and that quantitative research has a value also for ethnographers, derived from its exclusive ability to falsify culturally biased judgments and thus point at their cultural origin and significance.
