Att skapa ett forskningsprogram om Tid och Minne

Abstract

The essay describes the background and creation of the large research program ”Time, Memory, and Representation. Recent Transformations in Historical Consciousness” (www.histcon.se), comprising twentyfive researchers representing twelve different disciplines and six universities. It combines philosophical interpretations of time and chronological frameworks with cultural memory studies and research in the medialization of time, in a uniquely interdiscplinary endeavour.
