Abstract

The article deals with a few of the topics and concepts that over the last five years have been debated in the Cultural Studies journal. These are, for example, popular culture and its contextualization, the use of the term articulation and the question of the responsibility of intellectuals. In the discussion on these, the author draws comparisons to Lawrence Grossberg's article in this issue of Kulturella Perspektiv. Lundgren also discusses the ways of writing "academese" and whether Cultural Studies represents an intellectual practice for the initiated alone.
