Author Biography

Torsten Pettersson, Uppsala universitet

Was Chair Professor of Literature at Uppsala University 1993–2024. His scholarly pursuits include the theory of interpretation, empirical studies of lay readers as well as fiction, poetry and opera in five languages. He is also a widely translated author of fiction and poetry. His Donne-moi tes yeux (2010 and 2011) was one of twelve novels vying for the title “Book of the Year” in the renowned French series Points.
