Tidskrift för litteraturvetenskap has been published since 1971, with four issues per year, and addresses a broad range of literary studies and interdisciplinary questions. In addition to publishing scholarly articles and essays, TfL provides a forum for disciplinary debate and monitors new publications in literary studies, primarily in Sweden and the Nordic countries.
TfL rotates between the country’s departments of literary studies on a two-year basis. In 2023–2024, the editorial office is based at Uppsala University.
